Acting as development manager for the Universities Superannuation Scheme Limited, Canon House led a full project team in securing planning permission for the downsize of a Tenpin Bowl unit to create two new units, one for The Gym and the second for a new restaurant.

Other tasks included negotiating a complicated conditional agreement for surrender and lease with Tenpin and agreements for lease with The Gym and restaurant operator.

Issues of phasing and respective parties’ responsibilities for works needed to be resolved and correctly documented, with suitable monitoring and approval procedures.

Practical completion of the landlord’s works was achieved in July and the new gym unit opened for trade in October 2017.
